The boxed sheet metal arms are welded, and powder coated semi-gloss black. Pre-installed maintenance free ball joints and pivot bushings are included. The Cognito Pitman and Idler Arm Support Kit: Pitman and Idler arms have been an inherent wear problem within the steering systems of Chevy and GMC trucks and SUVs for decades. The Cognito PISK (Pitman and Idler Arm Support Kit) replace the problem components that plague factory and aftermarket steering systems on several models and years of GM trucks and SUVs. These improvements are accomplished through application of Cognito's innovative, patented design, by providing additional support to the vehicle's pitman and idler arms, which eliminate the forward and rearward movement of the center-link. The Cognito 2-inch Block and U-Bolt Kit includes 2-inch tall powder coated semi-gloss black cast steel blocks and heavy-duty zinc plated U-bolts The Elka 2.5 shocks feature Dual Speed Compression adjustment and provide better attenuation of vibration, leading to major noise reduction in the cabin (much less squeak and rattle), damping characteristics optimized for each truck and setup, providing a smoother ride. 37x12.50 tire on stock 20” wheel
Will require a wheel spacer at least 1/4” thick. A 1.5” wheel spacer looks really good. Use tie back kit plus medium trimming.

Hi Oliver, The biggest tire we've installed on this kit is a 37", which was on a narrower wheel. If you could get it to fit, there would be significant trimming required to clear at full steer.

Does this kit void the factory powertrain warranty?

Answer

You will have to check with you dealer. Because some dealers release/sell trucks with Cognito already on them, while other may possibly void your warranty.
